I had always handled my family's real estate dealings before being licensed, and I enjoyed it, buying and selling homes starting in the 1970s.
I looked at the Real Estate profession as not just my next job but a career I fell in love with. Real Estate provides a means to utilize my extensive sales, marketing, and contract experience.
Real Estate provides me with my greatest reward, which is helping my client's with their largest and most important purchases and sales. Insuring that their needs and requirements are not only met but exceeded. Educating and leading my clients through the transaction to insure that not only does the transaction close but that their finances are protected and their liabilities are limited.
As a Broker, not only does the California DRE hold me to a higher standard than a sales person, but I hold myself to a higher standard.
I am a results driven, visionary professional. I personally have a strong code of ethics and provide a high standard of services.
Real Estate is not my job it is my career and I start every day with that outlook. I work to provide my client's a level of service that not only meets their expectations but exceeds their expectations.
I pride myself on the service I provide to my clients. Whether you are selling or buying, my service will insure you get the best possible results.
Regardless if I am dealing with a $5000 vacant lot, a $1.5 Million dollar home in Santa Monica, or a multi-million dollar commercial property, I provide the same level of service and attention to details. All my clients have equal priority to me, regardless of property type or value!
At the end of 2017 I was very honored to have been awarded the title of REALTOR of the YEAR by the High Desert Association of REALTORS (HDAOR).
My volunteer work resume for the Real Estate industry include:
2019-2024 HDAOR Board of Directors
2019-2024 C.A.R. State Board of Directors
2022-2024 HDAOR MLS Committee Chair
2022 HDAOR Past President
2020-2021 HDAOR President
Past HDAOR committee Chair and/or member include:
- Strategic Planning Committee
- MLS Committee
- Commercial Committee
- Grievance Committee
- Special Affairs Committee
- Finance Committee
I volunteer as a representative of HDAOR at functions for our local community.
I truly believe that it is important to not just be a REALTOR and BROKER, focusing only on income, but to give back to and support our REALTOR association, it's members, and the community we serve.
Starting in 1980 until 2003, I worked in the high tech sector of Silicon Valley, my last position managing global sales for a Fortune 500 company. In addition to managing a sales force that sold to customers that included tier one global computer corporations. I was responsible for the establishment of regional warehouse leases and JIT inventory supply management. Establishing and maintaining supply chain, from overseas factories through delivery to the customer's assembly facilities. Annual global sales in excess of $500 million per year.
I decided to leave the high tech sales sector in 2003. Excessive travel and the time away from my wife and young children being the reason. Spending a few weeks every month on the road, domestically and internationally had lost its appeal.
My clients range from first time buyers and sellers, to experienced real estate investors.
The majority of my transactions are repeat clients and referral clients. Some repeat clients I have been working with for over 15 years and have handled multiple transactions for them. Referred clients are mostly from past clients or out of area Brokers I have worked with in the past.
I am very blessed to have this repeat and referral base business.
Take a look at my Testimonial page to see what my past clients have to say about their experience of me working for them.
My real estate experience includes the buying, selling, and leasing of all property types. From vacant land, condos, single family residences, multi-family investment property, and commercial properties. I have even listed and sold a church.
My transaction types range from single buyer and sellers, Corporate Re locations, Living Trusts, Corporations, 1031 Exchanges, Probates, Divorces, Bankruptcy, short sales, In Foreclosures, and Bank REOs (both purchases and listings).
I also provide services to financial institutions in valuating their portfolios. Including property condition reports, estimating repair costs, and AS-IS and REPAIRED values/pricing. I have performed thousands of these highly specialized Broker Price Opinions for Wells Fargo, Chase, FANNIE MAE, FREDDIE MAC, and other institutions.
I am a strong believer in Continuing Education.
In Real Estate changes continuously happen. Laws, contracts and disclosures change every year. Lending and Title guidelines change constantly. Trust and Probate laws changes that can affect real estate transactions.
So I continually take advantage of classes, seminars, and conferences throughout each year. In all areas of real estate: contracts, title, financing, marketing, web marketing just to name a few. Allowing me to continue to provide the best service to my clients, I have to learn how to handle all the changes.
Additionally extensive training from National Association of REALTORS (NAR) , California Association of REALTORS (CAR), and other organizations which in turns provides me with vast real estate knowledge and skills and industry recognized designations.
Please visit my designation page for further explanation of the designations and conditionals I maintain.
Coaching, teaching, and mentoring other agents in all areas of Real Estate is something I have been asked to do since 2007.
I really enjoy sharing knowledge and experience with others to help with their business, but also to protect their clients and themselves.
.
I have trained both groups and individuals. Training and assisting agent not just from my companies, but other brokerages and offices . Sometimes just a simple quest, others a full training session to a real estate office's agents. I take this all as a very big complement from my peers that I value greatly.
Formal classes including agent marketing to obtain business is just the beginning. But also include:
- How to properly market listings, write contracts, purchase agreements, counter-offers, and disclosures are just a few areas I include.
- Accurately calculate property values in the same manner as an appraiser is key for supporting both buyers and sellers.
- Price and "Request for Repairs" negotiations.
- Protecting your client's best interests throughout a transaction.
- Managing lending, escrow, and title functions.
- How to protect seller's through the use of title company requirements.
- How to manage TRUST, PROBATE, POWER of ATTORNEY, LLC, Corporation involved transactions.
Basically all the areas to help them be a better agent for themselves and most importantly their clients.
I am a strong believer that if you can learn one new thing every day it just makes you a better REALTOR.
My biggest pride and joy is my family, my wonderful, supporting wife and daughters.
Additionally we are a foster family and have provided a home to many many kids since 2001. At any one time we will have up to 4 additional children in our home.
Additionally my wife, daughters, and I have a dog rescue, adopting out 200+ animals a year into their new "Forever" home. So our house can be quite busy with the children, their friends, and also the rescued animals.
